Fort Dorchester Basketball Player Amari Washington Was Just Ruled Ineligible After Investigation

Fort Dorchester basketball player Amari Washington was just ruled ineligible after complaints about him being paid to transfer schools. After investigation it was found that a total of 10,000 dollars from 4 payments was transferred into his father (Marques Washington’s) bank account from the schools athletic department. The school’s athletic director claimed she had no knowledge of the transactions. It was later found out that the Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach Thomas Mcelveen was in contact with his father for months to get him to transfer, even suggesting for them to forge residency papers so Amari could be zoned to the school. Once he transferred he went from a starting varsity player at another school to a bench player on Junior Varsity at Fort Dorchester. He is now ineligible for rest of his high school career do to this scandal and the evidence found against him. Amari will be ineligible, Fort Dorchester’s Varsity and Junior varsity boys coaches and Athletic Director will be fired.
