Mr Pickwick goes to the woods

In this scene, Mr Pickwick goes to the woods near Bath to look for a gypsy fortune-teller. He finds a suit of clothes hanging on a bush and decides to try them on. However, he is interrupted by the arrival of a young couple who claim the clothes belong to them. Mr Pickwick runs away, leaving his own clothes behind. He then returns to his inn, where he sees his wife, whom he had married by mistake, talking to a man. He thinks she has brought a lover home, but the man turns out to be the owner of the clothes that Mr Pickwick had taken. The man explains that he was bathing in the river when Mr Pickwick stole his clothes
