there was a girl called Linda who was famous for her loud voice

before Linda knew she was put in to old man’s sack how she yelled but no one took notice of her at all. The old fellow went across a stile along a field he dropped
Linda down by his own doorstep His wife answered him and looked at the sack. “What have you got there?” she asked.

“It’s a girl with a loud voice,” the old man said. “She was shouting my name and disturbing me. I’m going to teach her a lesson.”

He opened the sack and pulled out Linda, who was still screaming. The old man’s wife gasped. “She’s only a child!” she said. “You can’t do this to her!”

“I can and I will,” the old man said. “She needs to learn some manners. Come on, girl, into the cellar with you!”

He dragged Linda to the cellar door and threw her inside. He locked the door and left her in the dark. Linda was terrified. She had never been in such a place before. She felt cold and damp and heard strange noises. She wished she had never shouted at the old man. She wished she could go back home. She wondered if anyone would ever find her. She cried and cried until she had no voice left. This is how I would write the next part of the story:

Meanwhile, Jeffrey, the boy next door, had heard Linda’s voice when she was shouting his name. He was curious to see what she wanted. He ran out of his house and saw the old man carrying a sack across the field. He wondered what was in it. He decided to follow him.

He reached the old man’s house and saw him go into the cellar with the sack. He heard Linda’s voice coming from the cellar. He realized that the old man had kidnapped her. He felt sorry for her. He wanted to help her. He looked around and saw a window that led to the cellar. He climbed up and peered inside. He saw Linda sitting on the floor, crying. He tapped on the window and whispered, “Linda, it’s me, Jeffrey. I’m here to rescue you.”

Linda looked up and saw Jeffrey’s face. She was overjoyed. She ran to the window and said, “Jeffrey, thank goodness you’re here. Please get me out of here. The old man is very mean. He locked me up because I shouted his name.”

“Don’t worry, Linda. I’ll get you out of here. Just wait a minute,” Jeffrey said. He looked for something to break the window. He found a big stone and threw it at the window. The glass shattered and made a loud noise. Jeffrey reached inside and helped Linda climb out. They ran away from the house as fast as they could.

The old man and his wife heard the noise and came out of the house. They saw Jeffrey and Linda running away. They were furious. They shouted, “Stop! Come back here! You little rascals!”

But Jeffrey and Linda did not stop. They ran all the way to Linda’s house and told her parents what had happened. Linda’s parents were shocked and angry. They called the police and reported the old man. The police came and arrested the old man and his wife. They thanked Jeffrey for saving Linda. They praised him for his bravery and cleverness.

Linda was very grateful to Jeffrey. She hugged him and said, “Thank you, Jeffrey. You are my hero. You saved my life. I’m sorry I shouted at you. I promise I won’t do it again.”

Jeffrey smiled and said, “You’re welcome, Linda. I’m glad you’re safe. And I’m glad you learned your lesson. You have a very loud voice. You should use it for good things, not bad things.” Santa Claus came to say Linda you know he was a bad man that old man was Linda told Santa

Linda nodded and said, “You’re right, Jeffrey. I have a very loud voice. I should use it for good things, like singing or cheering or helping people. I will do that from now on.”

And she did. Linda became a very good singer and a very good friend. She used her loud voice for good purposes and made everyone happy. She never shouted at anyone again. And she and Jeffrey became the best of friends. They lived happily ever after.
