β€”Elizabeth sensing Luke’s presence at the meeting.

Elizabeth, also known as Elise, is a supporting antagonist and one of the malevolent witches who is the subordinate of Her Majesty the Witch in the 1983 children’s novel The Witches written by Roald Dahl and its 1990 film.

Elizabeth was portrayed in the 1990 film by Jenny Runacre.

History
Elizabeth is known to work as a maid at the Excelsior Hotel, so this could be the reason why the Witches’ meeting took place there. As with other witches, Elizabeth’s favorite pastime is murdering children because they smell like dog poop to her. Elizabeth attends the annual witches’ coven. When Her Majesty the Witch tells the other witches to take off their shoes and wigs, Elizabeth reveals her true colors. Elizabeth is the first witch to greet Bruno and introduces him to the other witches during the meeting. When Her Majesty the Witch shows how her new Formula 86 turns Bruno into a mouse, Elizabeth laughs with delight. Before the meeting ends, Elizabeth enters the stage and picks up a few things lying on her and, quite by accident, detects Luke’s presence and immediately notifies Her Majesty the Witch of her discovery. She also chases Luke when she found out he was at the meeting, and helps Her Witch Majesty use Formula 86 on him.

At the end of the film, Elizabeth attends a formal dinner at the hotel’s restaurant while waiting for a specially prepared soup. However, Luke poured the contents of the potion into the soup, and Jacqueline, the cook, being a witch, tasted it and turned into a mouse, which immediately runs to tell Her Majesty about the twist. However, she is trampled by another witch. This seals the fate of the witches, who unknowingly eat the soup with the potion. After a short time, the witches turn into mice, and Elizabeth is one of the first witches to undergo a transformation. After her transformation, she and the other witches were killed by the hotel staff. she stayed in the hotel and married Mr Stringer
