“I’m still in shock,” Vernon woman wins lottery jackpot while taking break from work

Vernon woman won a triple-digit jackpot thanks to purchasing a lucky scratch-off ticket.

According to The Connecticut lottory Corporation, Erin Culvey won a $360,000 prize by putting her break time to good use and buying a lottery ticket.

Officials said Culvey, a human resource director, was returning to Central Connecticut State University with her daughter when she stopped at the local 7-Eleven where she picked up a few items including a Black Titanium scratch-off.

She returned home to scratch her winning ticket. I’m still in shock,” Culvey said. β€œIt’s truly a blessing. I haven’t even told my daughter yet.”

Lottery officials said the Black Titanium scratch-off game just launched last month and is available for $30.
