Road rage shooting death in Hanover park

Just after 2:00pm officers were dispatched to the area of Barrington road and sycamore ave for reports of shots fired and a car off the roadway. Officers arrived on scene within minutes to find a deceased male identified as Mackenzie Jenkins of Hanover park in the driver seat of his Subaru which went off the road and into a sign before coming to a stop. The victim suffered multiple gunshots and was dead on arrival. Detectives are still investigating and anyone with any information is asked to please contact the Hanover park police department vehicular crimes division
