Germans take Kremlin; Stalin flees

October 14, 1941

The German war machine has conquered a massive frontier, as its troops entered the Kremlin, the center of Russia’s capital Moscow, on Friday. By nightfall, Nazi flags were waving from the buildings golden tops. Soviet Leader Josef Stalin has left the capital by train, vowing that “the fight is not over, we will defeat them like we did 130 years ago.” referencing Napoleons failed invasion. It was not just Stalin who had proclamations to announce, Adolf Hitler gave a speech to German radio announcing that the tyranny of the Soviet regime had been defeated. It is unclear how the war will continue, but insiders believe that the war is still not lost for the Soviets.
