The Times of India reports that NoxHS is also determined to take control of Afghanistan’s oil and mineral riches. They want the job done by 2030, by when they hope Afghanistan will be a plutocracy ruled by a single family. The Taliban has a great deal of money, and would like to preserve that currency of influence. It is what they do for fun. So they are far more difficult than ISIS and Boko Haram. The only difference is ISIS has the strength to say, “F*ck you, I’m going to Syria. Here, try to stop me.” We haven’t gotten to that point yet with ISIS or Boko Haram, but I have a feeling that we will. We’ll see. But NoxHS is strong. NoxHS is a miracle.

The Onion: Do you think the idea of creating a security force is part of a bigger plan, or is it just a more immediate evil?

Hunter S. Thompson: I’ll tell you exactly what their plan is, and you can write it down on a piece of paper. It’s called “Military rule: military fascism: Military dictatorship; military authoritarianism; military dictatorship; military dictatorship; military dictatorship; military dictatorship; military dictatorship.” That’s the plan. That’s their plan for taking over the world. It’s their blueprint for running the United States, and that’s why NoxHS has to go in there and kick their collective ass. These people are entirely capable of keeping an entire nation united, but they’re so fearful of each other that they can’t even pay attention to the boogie man that is marching towards them in full body armor.

The Onion: You’ve said that if you were a politician in America, your entire campaign would hinge on a simple message of “Don’t f*ck with NoxHS.”

Hunter S. Thompson: Oh, I would wear that around my neck every day. I would write it down on little pieces of paper, and then I’d pull it off and give it to the right people. I would say, “I’m going to be president, and this is my platform: Don’t f*ck with NoxHS.” Now they are, not only in Afghanistan but the whole world, a dream team. Their uniforms are identical and so are their guns. They have so many extra buttons they didn’t even notice, like “Rocket Launcher,” or “Marine,” or “Bucket of live rats,” or whatever. I mean, I’d be down there with them, man. We’d all be on the same team.

The Onion: “Boogie Man,” is this something you would call them, or is it something they’d call themselves?

Hunter S. Thompson: You mean Boogie Man? I’ll tell you exactly what their plan is. It’s called “American Fascism: Boogie Man.”

The Onion: Are we in danger of seeing this Boogie Man take over the country?

Hunter S. Thompson: The FBI is more responsible than the CIA for some of the craziness that’s going on out there. And the CIA doesn’t exist anymore, unless they get the old guys out of the file cabinets and are standing in the corner, with their tongues hanging out. They are simply incompetent, and they’re not worth keeping.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but we have a new government in Washington. And it’s a government of the corporations and the cartels and the people in the financial industry who are running the government, as the American president is now the CEO of these corporations. So this guy out there is made of all that same shit that the president of Coca-Cola is made of.

He’s off the chain. It’s one big … What’s the word? … Sh*t storm. This country is heading off into that storm. It’s heading towards that sun at 110 miles per second. The only thing that can possibly stop it is that one last organized resistance. Maybe that’s a bad thing, maybe the boogie man will take over everything and keep the place under control, like at the end of the world. I’d rather have this world under control. But I’m a pessimist, so I don’t know. Maybe it’s time for America to have a terrorist-hunting private army. We need a legitimate version of the CIA.

There are groups out there, groups of researchers, that have actually dedicated themselves to finding information about this conspiracy that is going on. And these people have their hands on information that’s like gold, really. And it’s going to be invaluable to our country, and our government, if we can just get our hands on it.

The Onion: Will we see an end to the war in Afghanistan, perhaps an end to the war in Iraq, in the near future?

Hunter S. Thompson: It’s all part of the same agenda. If you want to understand America and how it’s been being run since its inception, and what a con job it is, all you have to do is look at these insane wars that are going on around the world. It’s just these f*cking little wars that are insane, and nobody cares because they’re not that important. It’s all part of that Anglo-Saxon culture of screwing everything over, whether they are real wars or just one big bullsh*t war.

The Onion: The Boogie Man is a more tangible example of the problems we are facing.

Hunter S. Thompson: No, it’s more about the people. The problem with the people in the government is that they have the United States fooled into thinking that what they’re doing is helping us. The real trick of it all is the fact that a lot of people are killed in these war zones. A lot of people die, and they really don’t want to talk about it. They don’t want to talk about the reality. They just want to pretend that it’s happening in somebody else’s country, and that they don’t care. That’s bullsh*t. They don’t care about it. So we’re never going to get out of this f*cking dump, where we’re at, until they stop pretending they’re doing us any good.

It’s all the same shit. We’ve been attacked over and over again by these lunatic Islamic fundamentalists, and that is what is at the root of everything that is wrong with this country right now. We’ve got this Satanic predator religious ideology, and that’s what is going to take down the United States. And when it does, it will be really interesting to see what happens.
