A Tampa Bay Area resident, who has been streaming content on the video streaming service Twitch for several years, and who streams under the username “henken_sc,” has just received the coveted title of Twitch Content Creator of the Year. The award is given for the quality and innovative nature of the streamer’s content. Twitch representatives stated two of the factors which weighed heavily in the voting were 1) the fact this content creator does all his streams while standing, most of the time dancing and moving to his background music, and 2) he spent approximately three months, this spring and summer, doing all his livestreams while wearing a hooded, green care bear “union suit” pajama-style costume.
henken_sc, who normally goes by the name “Henken,” has also obtained several sponsorships, which are seen as beneficial to the Twitch community as a whole, as they strengthen relationships between Twitch and commercial enterprises, and which can benefit both Twitch as well as all its content creators. When asked for a comment on their newest Content Creator of the Year, a Twitch representative stated, “Contract Accepted! You only won because all the judges were care bears and vampires, so you had an unfair advantage.”
