California has just broken away from the United States by sea. The state is rapidly moving away from the US, at a rate of 20 kilometers per minute out into the Pacific sea. The break in the land has suspected causes, fault plates, the 49ers football team, and Silicon Valley technologies. California is deciding if it will become its own country, or join with Japan once it completely crosses the Pacific over to the island.
