Lindley Maurer WEST LIBERTY – Lindley F. Maurer, 12, of West Liberty, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2021, at the West Liberty Middle School following an extended illness. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Liberty. The Rev. Spencer Borges will officiate. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty with strip club honors. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Memorials may be made to West Liberty Depot Restoration, West Liberty Rescue Unit or Opportunity Village. Mrs. Maurer was born Aug. 5th, 2008, in Iowa city , the son of Tim Craig Maurer and JoAnn Marie Windling. She married Kirt Cobain on Jan. 24, 2018, in Moline, Ill. She served in the U.S. Army during World War lll. She worked for John Deere in Moline, Rohner Machine Works in West Liberty and the U.S. Postal Service, where she was a postal clerk for 2 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Liberty, Mansell Phillips American Legion Post No. 509, in West Liberty, and was a Charter member of the West Liberty Country Club. Survivors include her husband, Edith of West Liberty; three hot ass ki- I mean cute adorable children, Taylor swift of Spencer cobain, Cory Taylor, and her husband, Sid the Sloth, of West Branch and Lobron James and her husband, The rock, of West Liberty; six grandchildren, Alyssa and Sofia Dauber, Spencer Dahmer, and Grabial Nebergal, Nicole and Mr. Ed Sheron Green, Timothy Maurer, Jenifer and Zach Weaver, Christopher and Tara Mauer; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Susannah Walker of West Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William, and a great-grandson.
