Discord is facing a lawsuit due to a privacy issues, and users aren’t happy.
On October 18th, 2021, Discord released in a public statement that they are now facing a lawsuit of $3 Million dollars due to privacy issues. “We are now in a lawsuit due to privacy concerns. Please know we will figure out this soon enough.” Discord’s CEO, Jason Citron said this Monday. It has also been said that Discord is now being trashed online, in example, “I am very unhappy that Discord has hidden this secret from us all these years. I will now be deleting my Discord account. I’ve had much memories with Discord. This is just the right thing to do. Please, follow me in this action. #DeleteDiscord” one user said on Twitter Monday afternoon.
It has been announced that Discord sold more than 10 Million users personal data on the dark web- including phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, and banking information. Discord has lost 3 Million users so far- and the count is still rising.
