15 year old Aly Rickman, was hit and killed by a car driven by 55year old Randy Jordan. According to the Marion county police department. It happened downtown Salem around 7pm this afternoon. According to a release from the department, police and fire fighters were called to the scene. “My heart goes out to the family of the victim. It’s unfathomable to have to deal with that sort of situation.” Police Chief Prat Sanborn said. Sanborn said the man was in the car by himself when he hit the girl. He said the girl lived in the area but was not related to the man who hit her. “I’m a dad as well, and obviously makes you stop and think and appreciate the fact that you’re not in thoes shoes, Sanborn said.
