It has just been announced by ABC that the 17-season hit television series, Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for an 18th season. Here’s the inside scoop from Shonda Rhimes on some potential content for the next season’s plot:
“We’ve definitely considered bringing Derek back from the dead,” Rhimes revealed to BREAKINGNEWS. “We feel it could make for an interesting plot, almost like how Jane the Virgin brought Michael back.”
There has also been some speculation about Cristina’s reappearance in the show. Grey’s fans know that after 10 amazing seasons of the twisted sisterhood between Meredith and Cristina that Cristina left to take a job offer in Switzerland. Rhimes hinted in a recent interview with BREAKINGNEWS that Cristina may be making a regular appearance on the show once again.
“We’re hoping to add a lot of spice to the next season of Grey’s to keep it alive,” Rhimes wrote in a recent Tweet. “Adding Cristina back could make fans who have stopped watching want to continue.”
Although this is purely speculation, fans from all over are hopeful that these hypotheticals will soon turn into a reality.
