Due to the rapid increase in Covid 19 infections the possibility of a 3rd wave is inevitable.President Ramaposa has said that he will be addressing the Nation at 20:00 on Sunday the 28th of March 2021 and will declare that a level 4 lockdown will now come into effect as of Monday the 29th of March 2021 at 00:00.
The new revised level 4 lockdown restrictions have not been made known yet to the public but will be made known after the presidential address. One source who has asked to remain anonymous has said, “ the president will be locking the nation down to a level 4 restriction. This will mean that the sale of Alcohol and Tabacco will be prohibited. This also means that the public gatherings number will drop down to 50 people for indoor events and 150 people for out door events.”
