Members from the new girl group K.O.I was accused of committing fraud and being racist. It was said that the fraud was committed in February 21’st only to get caught in March.
The girl group, containing 6 members, decided to all get sugar daddies to pay for their bills in California. They plotted to take the social security number of the sugar daddies and use up more money than their allowances. Four out of the six members were successful however, the last two members are why they got caught. 5 members have been detained and one is on the run.
Before the fraud controversy, they have been under fire for their racism. A hairstylist secretly recorded a member named Aleshia saying “I’m glad I’m not black”. A fellow member Loren then says “I know right, imagine being black, couldn’t be me *gaging noises*.”. After they say this, you can hear the rest of the members laughing. Many fans have tried to defend them saying they didn’t mean it in a condescending way.
