March 3, 2021- MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) has officially accepted the idea of automatically granting passing grades to students this year amid the threat of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said she does agree with the concept of “mass passing” students because of the disease.
“Sang-ayon kami”(We do agree). We therefore do advocate mass promotion.
