Clara Craig, East Lansing resident, set up to act in a Harry Potter TV show.

Clara Craig (12) won a raffle and is set up to act as Ginevra (Ginny) Weasley from a raffle audition. HBO and JK Rowling partnered for a Harry Potter reboot, but because of all the issues determining rights, the show will probably be released some time late 2022.
Clara was entered into a raffle for girls age 8-15, and she won one of the ten positions for each age. She was then invited to a zoom audition, and after she was chosen for her age group, she was flown out to LA to come to an in-person audition. All of the people in the audition were tested and remained as far apart as possible.
The audition was supposed to be a secret, as none of the other cast information has been released, but the cast list was leaked and the show will be starring Craig, as Ginny, Millie Bobby Brown, as Hermione, and Cate Blanchett as Bellatrix Lestrange originally played by Helena Bonham Carter. There also is information that suggest that Percy Weasley, Cho Chang, and Luna Lovegood actors will be determined this way (with a raffle, zoom audition, and in-person audition). No other information has been found, except that director Chris Columbus is on the team of directors.
Rowling and other members of the HBO team have made no comment on the data leak, but this has proved to be an excited twist on an already heavily dramatized TV show!
