Heathrow Terminal 5 demolished due to safety concerns

Since January 4th, planning has been made to finally demolish heathrow terminal 5. It got demolished yesterday, Feburary 17th, due to safety concerns. The planning for its demolition had taken over a month. This was because all fire systems failed and the building had weak hold and looked like it could possibly collapse.
Hundreds of flights were cancelled and due to Covid-19 it wasn’t as bad if it was to be demolished, in for example, 2018. It is mostly cargo and essential flights running, and terminal 5 will be reconstructed and made at the same time as Terminal 6, which will be the new hub. The prime minister said that “Heathrow Terminal 5 is a huge loss, however had to be demolished due to many safety risks. We are working our best to make sure a new Terminal 5 comes, as well as also working on our grand project, Terminal 6.” Climate change protesters are happy about this desicion.
