Epic Games to end live support for ‘Fortnite’

On 2/17/2021, Epic Games ceo Tim Sweeney announced on his Twitter page that Fortnite, a battle-royale video game released for PC, Xbox, and PS4 in 2017 is to end live support, meaning no further content updates shall be produced. Servers will still continue to function, as well as patch updates still being released. “We really felt like the game had its run, but is now complete. We have released more than 1500 cosmetics, including outfits, weapons, game modes, and much, much more. It will be sad to see the game go, but it is the memory that counts.” Said Sweeney. The game’s live support is to end on 3/19/2022.
