Mojang has announced through their Twitter that Minecraft will be shut down on January 24th, 2021. Today is a sad day for the millions of Minecraft fans across the globe. In a recent tweet by Mojang employee Jens Bergensten, he announced that Minecraft would no longer be playable after January 24th, 2021. “This was a tough decision for all of us.” Jens had to say. “After January 24th this year, the Minecraft Launcher will no longer operate as the servers will have been taken down. The pandemic has hit us at Mojang pretty hard, and the choice that all of us have feared for a while has arrived at last.” Many of Minecraft fans have been shocked by this and Minecraft YouTuber’s are struggling to find a different game. At 9:00 AM January 24th, all servers will close, and Minecraft will crash and you will not be able to open again. Many players are trying to recreate Minecraft using its source code but its no use. Minecraft shut down it’s public Source code and even some servers are already having troubles running. Mojang announced that they will slowly remove parts of code until only the run code is left. Once that is deleted people will no longer be able to open the launcher.
