The Roblox shutting down rumours emerged last year with it claimed that Roblox would be closing its doors for good on January 1rst 2021. According to Roblox CEO David Baszucki, sales have gone down drastically ever since Robux (The in-game currency) have been given away by online sellers in exchange for various types of revenue. Mostly by online websites such as Rblx.land and Rbx.best, before the platform closes down completely work is being done to have these websites taken down permanently.

Despite how the Bloxy Awards would have taken place around early next year, the staff behind the awards show are going ahead with hosting the event on their official youtube channel despite the platform being long gone by that time. Fans are devastated by this news but rumours of another company creating a similar version of the platform are raising their spirits while others claim “It will never be the same”.
