Saint Charles North Teacher Arrested

Long time business teacher Steve Haft (age 54) was arrested on Saturday evening on 3 accounts of sexual misconduct in the workplace, as well as a $5000 fine for small possession of marijuana in the school. We reached out to the school and the city council for comment, and while the city alderman declined to speak in the matter, Saint Charles North Principle Audra Christensen had this to say:
“Yes we have known about this for a couple years now. We were in a tricky spot. We couldn’t really say something even though a lot of people were complaining because frankly we really wanted ‘Right On Time’ to get the grant. It was such a stupid idea, that it had to work. The only way for them to get the money was for the girls to perform favors for him in the library during class time. I will make sure he will remain hired as here at the school, because he supplies all the weed to the break room.
