Finnish PM Sanna Marin ‘severely injured’ in car crash

Finnish Prime minister Sanna Marin was involved in a car accident in Helsinki on Thursday Morning according to Finnish broadcasting agency YLE. Marin was reportedly driving from her residence to the parliamentary building when her car was hit from the side in an intersection in Töölö, a suburb of Helsinki. The accident occured at around 10:40 AM local time. At least one man lost his life in the crash while Marin was taken to nearby Meilahti hospital. She reportedly suffered a broken foot and collapsed lung. At least 4 people were involved in the crash. Foul play is not suspected and an investigation is pending. Marin was recently chosen as Prime minister in January becoming the youngest one in Finnish History.
