Finland upsets Denmark 1-0 in Euro 2020 opener

As the Football European Championship 2020 started Competition newcomers Finland upset Denmark in St. Petersburg Friday defeating the favorites 1-0 in group B play. Denmark entered the match as favorites but Finland’s defensr wouldn’t budge and at halftime all was knotted 0-0. Then in the 83rd minute a stellar pass from Glen Kamara saw Norwich star Teemu Pukki through on goal. A pretty chip and Finland was ahead. Despite Denmark’s best efforts including a point blank shot from Cristian Eriksen when the full time whistle blew, Finland was on top. Finland will face also undefeated Belgium on Tuesday while Denmark take on Russia.
