BigHit Entertainment confirmed that BTS’ Jeon Jungkook will not be able to join the group’s comeback. Jungkook personally stated the reason after the BBMA Ceremony. BTS members got emotional after Jungkook announced the reason why he needs to leave the group. “Hyungs, I’ll be going to the next chapter of my life”, Jungkook said during the group’s meeting. Jungkook pertains “next chapter of my life” to getting married. At first, many thought that Jungkook pertains to IU but then he clarified. “IU and I are not in a relationship. I’ve been secretly dating this pretty girl long time ago and now, we’re ready to open the next chapter of our lives.” Jungkook said in the follow-up interview. “Actually, my parents are now on their way to the house of my fiancé. My fiancé is the ONE WHO SHARED THIS POST. Now the world knows about us.”
