It was 5 pm last Monday when Clovis Police received a call from a panicked store manager of a “Hobby Lobby” , who claimed that the store was being held hostage by a small woman with a gun.
“She came in with a ski-mask and a gun and told everyone to get on the ground,” a customer reported, “She had a duffel bag on her back and started to put store items into it, mainly mirrors.”
After a 3 hour long standoff with police, the woman was brought into custody and revealed to be 42 year-old Andreya Gardner. Ironically, Gardner’s husband is a member of the Fresno Police Department. However he has been placed on leave in light of the recent incident.
