TikTok sells for $500B after talks with U.S officials, says source

The multi billion dollar company that is TikTok, commonly known for its extensive use by teens and 20 somethings making short clips of the latest trends, has officially announced after talks with Microsoft and the U.S government, finally put out a statement earlier this morning about closing a deal on the purchase of TikTok.

TikTok is one of the largest social media organizations that is taking over the attention of over 500 million users. The sale has been a controversy due to recent claims that user information, including passwords, facial recognition, and advertising data is sold to various clients in foreign countries. The media giant has denied these allegations in an attempt to keep integrity amongst its peers.

Throughout all of the investigations that have taken place since the announcement of Microsoft stating it would like to purchase TikTok, the company has been booming with all of the media coverage it has gained, and is increasing in popularity each day.
