NJ schools confirmed to take a gap year

Due to the current COVID situations, all NJ elementary, intermediate, middle, and high schools have officially confirmed to close schools for the entirety of the 2020-2021 academic year. Students across the northeastern state will not practice virtual learning, due to the insufficiency of online resources and the complaints by residents of individual counties. While the current plan is for all schools to open as usually in the fall of 2021, the current situation seems to be that all NJ students will enjoy their days completely free, with not much to do but prepare for the upcoming school year with their textbooks. “I’m not sure that this will be very good for me in the long run, but I guess it’s the best option we have now,” says North Brunswick resident John Grodzki. “I mean, I’ll probably play football with my brother every day, but my days might get kind of boring with nothing else to do.” John Grodzki is a student at North Brunswick Township High School.
