PSLE officially cancelled

Due to the Covid-19, many parents are wondering if PSLE would be cancelled. Even though the MOE (Ministry of Education) decided to remove some Mathematics and Science topics, parents are still worried that their child is unable to catch up with their studies.

On 26 July, the MOE decided to give in to the pleas of the parents and cancel the main source of stress for the children. However, it comes with one condition.

“Although we have cancelled the Primary School Leaving Examination, we will still need the children to continue to study hard. We will collect the marks from the child’s past exams, and give them a T-score according to it.” The Head of Department explained.

Although PSLE has been cancelled, parents are still not happy with the method of calculating the T-score. They claim that their child might not have put in their best effort in previous exams. However, MOE has not spoken up yet.
